The successor of lost medieval habitat fathead period and sedimented by the Padma, Horai, Garai, Chandana and Kumar river glory lied by war of liberation and the gateway of 21 districts of the south–southwest region is the district of Rajbari. Rajbari is replete with the memory of immortal genius of Bengali Literature and writer of Bishad Sindhu Mir Mosarraf Hossain, educationist Dr. Kazi Motahar Hossain and many literary and notable politicians. The role of Rajbari in Fakir Sannyasi Movement, Swadeshi Movement, Faraizi Movement, Sepoy uprising, anti-British movements, language Movement of 52, mass upsurge of 69 and above all in the great struggle for liberation is undeniable, Once Rajbari was known as the gateway to Bengal and also known as Goalanda Subdivision under the greater Faridpur district.
